Below you are three (3) possible user interfaces for YachtLog3 I have come up with.

I would like you to give me your comments on each please include your likes and dislikes.  And for those who really want to help you can comment on a new design made up the components within each of the three below.  A different interface using components from each of these to make something altogether new.

First.
A new style browser type ToolBar...

Second.
An application style ToolBar...

Third.
An Application style MDI (Multiple Document Interface) desktop...

NOTES:

  1. The icons used are only placeholders at this time.  I took them from the previous version, YachtLog2.  They may survive or not depending on your votes later.
  2. Not all functions are shown as icons at this time.
  3. The size of each version shown above does not reflect the actual or final size.

Here is where you will find all the latest information about the new version of YachtLog3, formally YachtLog2.

I will be asking each of you to contribute to the building of this new software package for all boaters, whether a sailor or power boater.  There will be threads to follow where I will be asking about what software you already use, then what you like and dislike about it?  I am going to build the application in modules, this is so if you are a Power Boater and don't need the sailing modules why should you have to pay for them... nnnoootttt!  Being Modular means that once you have purchased the base package you only need to buy the modules you want based upon the type of boating you do.  I am tired of paying for software I don't use, so why should you?

In the mean time I ask all of you boaters to return here as often as possible to take the Survey/Poll where I will ask specific questions.  Please take part in the threads concerning the Interface, Look & Feel, and Do's & Don'ts.  With your feedback and participation you can be a part of this new software package designed by boaters for boaters and be known as a "Best of Breed".

Just for the heck of it... here is the "other woman" in my life... Mouse Pad
