Maeva Beach - Impossable
"Impossible" at rest - a 55'+ boat cruising the South Pacific with a family of four aboard.
I spent some time with Jim and Diane in Raiatea helping Diane with their weatherfax software.
Jim showed me the latest Magellan satellite phone.

"Wind Raven" and "Shadowfax" out of Ventura California.
They are sister ships

There is a large Sofetel Hotel here that is very hospitable to cruisers.
Offering a dinghy dock for US$2 per day.  For that you get a safe place to tie your dinghy to, an outdoor shower facility, washers (cold water only).  You can send and receive faxes, and receive phone calls (they do take a message if you are not there) at the little office on the end of pier.  You also get the run of the hotel.
They have a show for the guests that the cruisers are welcome to watch for free.  We sat at the bar one evening.  Good drinks but rather expensive for us and most cruisers.

1.  Sunset behind "Absolute Freedom", a very large private yacht (never did find out just how long it was, but my guess is 80'+).  We only saw three people on board, a delivery crew I think!
2. & 3.  Sunset over Moorea Island from Maeve Beach

1. - 4.  Passing by the beautiful Island of Moorea on the way to Raiatea from Tahiti.  Picture 2 shows a boat leaving Cooks Bay.  It is boasted by all to be the paradise spot of all spots in the South Pacific.   Unfortunately, this was the closest we  got to it.
Jerry had flown back, that morning, to Los Angeles for a couple of weeks to visit her grandkids and get parts.
I took "Mouse Pad" to Raiatea Carenage to have the water line raised AGAIN!
