The Yacht Club is not in reality a Yacht Club but a restaurant that has been there for many years. It has several moorings that you can use. If you frequent the bar or restaurant then the moorings are free. I didn't hear of anyone who was asked to pay. They have showers and laundry facilities available to cruisers. It is about a three mile walk into town for provisions. You can dinghy the three miles but do it early in the day before the wind waves pick up. You have to make sure that you do not park in the ferry's spot. They have no mercy. We heard of dinghy's being crushed by the ferry in past times. None this year that we know of!
The food is very good, if not pricey! We used their facilities on the way in, and out. By the way, they do have a great dinghy dock and potable water available. Unfortunately we have heard through the grape vine that Cyclone Martin wiped out the Yacht Club and much of this side of the island this year (1997). We hope that they rebuild as it is a great watering hole for cruisers.

Tahiti/Med style berthing. Drop a bow anchor then back down to the dock.

We all enjoyed the sunsets, friendship, and drinks on the deck of the Yacht Club. We
usually enjoyed their food after the drinks, as by that time we were too lazy to go back
to our boats and cook.
