This picture speaks for itself

1. A view of the Carenage as
you enter the bay it is nestled in
BEWARE there are many reefs and shallows to run aground on. I did!
2. The modern 20 ton Travel Lift and slipway
3. Looking down the slipway (depth 9ft MAX) I saw a Swan run
aground when it was trying to leave at high tide.

The flatbed car for boats up to 35 tons or
over 9 ft draft (sometimes when the tide is forgiving)
This is a local catamaran ferry boat out for a paint job

Dominique - The Manager

1. Hinano checking the regular
deliveries from DHL in Tahiti
2. Bruno, one of the best fiber glass
workers I have ever seen
Did a great job of cleaning and buffing Mouse Pad too

1. Simon - Travel lift operator and all
round great worker - been there 9 years and always has a smile on his face
2. Frank - a waylaid Frenchman spending his summer working here
3. Another of the yards workers - welds custom stands for boats in no time
4. Hinano - In the only sail loft we found in the South Pacific

"La Tortuga" - a French boat getting
cleaned up for the season. This couple live in a little bay of Tahiti and work year
round in Papeete.

Jerry in front of a modified plywood trimaran.
The couple sailing the boat suspect they hit a partially submerged container off the
Tuamotu's....
Fortunately no one was hurt.
They had to wait in an atoll for several weeks for the French Navy to safely escort them
to Raiatea Carenage.
They are scrapping the boat in favor of buying a fiberglass monohull.
