Palmerston - Farewell Spread

One of the many highlights of Palmerston was our farewell meal.  On our last Sunday there, the Bill T. Masters house put on the most incredible amount of delicious food you have every seen, and eaten, in your life.   These people are not short on hospitality.  No matter how many times you tell them NO, they still prepare food for you.  We only hope that we left them with more than we came with. Because we certainly left much richer people for meeting them and enjoying there friendship.

If you ever get the chance to visit this island please take something with you for them, as they will surely fill you heart with friendship.

If you look carefully you will see plates of prepared food are piled 2 and 3 high.  So much food in fact, that we all took plenty back to our boats for the next meal or two.

This was one of the few occasions that I tried to take pictures of each of the boats crews at this festive occasion.  Other times on the cruise I was so wrapped up in the event, whatever it may have been, I forgot to take enough pictures.  Sorry folks, maybe next time.

Sunday Lunch Kori Alex Terangi
Kori, Alex and Terangi Masters... Still eating!
No gang signs here. Terangi's hand sign means "Hi" or "How are you" was common all across the South Pacific Islands no matter what language was spoken

Our heart felt thanks to Bill T. Masters, Inano, Tuakana, Hinano, Alex, and the rest of the Masters family from us and our cruising family for the gracious and wonderful hospitality at this feast
