The ladies of the church - most of the
congrigation were the women of the island

that he is bear footed!

The mass is very different and well worth the visit. There are some traditions that
they overlooked for us. You will see that the women always wear white for church and
the men are in long pants
There singing is wonderful - The womens singing, somewhere higher than suprano, is hard on
the ears at first but after a few minutes there harmonies blend well together. The
singing can be heard all over the island.
