About Mouse Pad
Some of the information below is taken from the original manufacturer's specifications.
We measured Mouse Pad while hauled out in Raiatea and found that while the Draft has increased to 6' 10" and the LaW is now 34' and I am not sure as to the actual displacement. This is due to all the added cruising equipment, food and spare parts on board. As you can see a small increase in draft makes for a much longer water line. Unfortunately since there was an increase in weight the increased LaW didn't translate into speed. (Bummer!)

The original Atomic 4 petrol engine was replaced several years ago with the current diesel engine.
Prior to leaving Marina del Rey, California. I replaced all the running and standing rigging (1996). The standing rigging was replaced with a single (forestay/backstay) size. This increased the shroud size several sizes but made for much simpler replacement. The tops of all the stays/shrouds were swedged while the bottoms had Norseman fittings. This was done so I could make repairs to any one of them under way from a single spare. I also replaced all the blocks on the boat with the new Garhauer open faced blocks. They are all date stamped with their warranty date.
The old bottom paint was sand blasted off and several coats of epoxy barrier were applied. There was no blistering, it was strictly a precautionary measure. Then 3 coats of Petit Trinidad (1st black, 2nd & 3rd red) were applied (rolled) without thinning.
