I finally got around to finding, purchasing, and installing the new Hand/Grab
rails. I found them on Ebay for a great price, about 1/3 of what West
Marain wants for them. I found two 40 inch marine grade stainless steel
grab rails with a single support post in the center. The mounting is what
I wanted, a welded 3/8 inch post at each mount point. It give me a much
stonger, through bolt, mount than the screw type. The post is easier to
install and seal over the screw type of installtion. What I love about
stainless steel is that there is no maintanance or
servicing needed with stailness steel and far fewer screws to create possible
water leaks. A much sleeker and more modern look. |
